Kris Coleman-President
Kris served as an Intelligence Officer and Security Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, and as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He is the CEO and founder of Red Five, a bespoke security solutions provider.
He provides oversight and direction for the FBO mission and believes in individual resiliency. He is the proud owner of Vader, a 2022 Land Rover Defender and prefers to be out on the trail with his FBO teammates.
Greg Walton-VP of Operations
Greg spent nearly 10 years in the US Army and over 20 as an FBI Special Agent. He currently works as a contractor providing training in firearms, tactics, leadership, and off-pavement driving.
As a co-founder of FBO, Greg realized the value in the overland experience for himself and others. He can often be found in the workshop, helping with teammates’ projects or maintaining and improving his own 1993 Land Cruiser, Xena.
Brandon Crook-Secretary/Treasurer
Brandon began his service with the US Navy as a Corpsman, responsible for the health and care of US Marines. His service continues as the executive director of Heroes Resource Center, a non-profit dedicated to providing resources and services to Veterans, Service Members, and their families
He provides administrative oversight and support for FBO when not out on the trail in Fenrir, a purpose built Chevy Silverado pickup.

Randall Derouin - Chief Development Officer
Randy spent 26 years in law enforcement, first experiencing overlanding while embedded with Special Mission Units in Afghanistan as an FBI tactical operator, callsign Fox Bravo.
In 2016, FBO TF Hombre came at a crucial moment—he was seeking purpose, connection, and a healthier pace. With no mechanical background, he dove into building a vehicle that fit his mission. Emerging from his garage with bloody knuckles and a renewed spirit, AZIMUTH—a 2017 Toyota 4Runner—was born.
As Randy transitions from law enforcement, his focus is on forging meaningful relationships and helping fellow silent servants find their own rebirth through FBO.
Paul is a former US Marine Corps infantry officer and served over 20 years as an FBI Special Agent. A co-founder of FBO, Paul began the overland journey over 15 years ago in the Nevada desert.
Paul’s experience with identifying and tackling routes on the path less traveled continues to drive our FBO adventures. He is the proud caretaker of a 1975 Land Rover series III, a 1993 Defender “Oliver” and a 2004 Discovery II, “Grover”.
